What is Video Downloader?
Video Downloader takes a video’s address and hands back the file that is being served there: the rendition the site holds, at the quality you choose, or the sound track on its own. It is not a player and not a converter — nothing is re-encoded, no frame is regenerated, and no image is uploaded, because the link is the entire input. What comes back is therefore decided by the source: it is the resolution, the frame rate and the container the platform itself publishes at that address.
How the workflow works
Copy the link from the browser, or from the app’s share menu. Paste up to three links in the studio, one per line, and choose a quality: best available, 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, or audio only. The task costs one credit, runs on a downloader outside this site’s own servers, and finishes in anything from fifteen seconds to a minute — the file has to be transferred, so the wait follows its size. What returns is a signed link, which the page plays back so you can check the picture and the sound before you save it.
Input, output and source quality
The input is a link, not a file: nothing from your device is uploaded, and no image is measured against a size limit. Accepted addresses are YouTube, Bilibili, Douyin and TikTok, including their short-link and mobile forms (youtu.be, b23.tv, v.douyin.com). A link from anywhere else is refused with a message naming those four rather than attempted, which is a deliberate choice about the sites we serve — the downloader behind the tool knows more places than we are willing to fetch from.
How it works

- Paste it and pick a quality — Paste up to three links, one per line, then choose 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, the best available or audio only. The task costs 1 credit.
- Check the file and save it — The studio plays what came back so you can check picture and sound, then download it. The signed link expires after about an hour, and a later run fetches the file again.
When this workflow fits
This is a good fit for your own uploads, for a clip you have permission to reuse, for audio you need as a file in order to transcribe or subtitle your own video, and for an offline copy where the platform and the licence allow one. It is the wrong tool for a private, paid or member-only video, for a live stream, for anything you would have to redistribute to make useful, and for the case where you need one particular container or codec — the source site decides the format, not this page.
Limits and responsible use
The machine that performs the download is not ours and is not always reachable, so a task can fail quickly with a plain reason where another tool might hang; a confirmed failure refunds the credit. The finished file is delivered as a signed link that lasts about an hour, and we keep no copy of it afterwards — if you miss the window, run the link again and save the fresh copy. Sizes are real: a ten-minute clip measured 134 MiB at 1080p, 81 MiB at 720p, 25 MiB at 360p and 10 MiB as audio only. And the rights in the video never move: what you may do with the file afterwards is between you, the platform and the person who made it.
Credits and delivery
Every task costs 1 credit and accepts up to three links, so a batch of three is no dearer than one. A confirmed failure is refunded automatically under the account workflow, and the size of the video does not change the price — a ten-minute 1080p file and an audio-only track cost the same. Your allowance is shown before a signed-in task starts.
A practical quality review
Play what came back before you rely on it: check that the picture and the sound run to the end, that the resolution matches the quality you asked for, and that the frame rate and the audio are the ones you need. Check the container as well — a YouTube 1080p file arrives as WebM with AV1 video and Opus audio — and convert it yourself if your editor wants something else. Then save the file, because the signed link expires about an hour after the task finished.
